Productive and freedom to explore ourselves – Meenal Mehta

What does a person look for when deciding whether he should work for a particular company or not? Often, if the person is a fresher he doesn’t think much besides checking whether the company he is getting the job at is a reputable one. When I completed my graduation in business administration I also did the same. I applied for a position at Angel Broking, was called for an interview and got selected.

I was just happy to get a job at a reputable brokerage firm like Angel as I always had dreamt of doing something in the trading and investment industry. I didn’t thought about things like whether I’ll be able to see my career growing at this place or whether I will be able to learn more about the trade during my days at Angel. I was not even worried about the kind of working environment I will be provided with at this company.

I understood that all the above mentioned things are extremely important when I first met my boss at Angel. He told me that we need to be productive and get the chance to work freely in order to be successful in whatever we do. After spending one and a half years as an employee of this firm, I can tell you that Angel offers its employees the freedom to explore themselves and thus always manages to bring the best out of them. By offering us freedom, the bosses of the company have made working a happy experience for us.

Every employee however junior he might be is allowed to share his own ideas with the management. In the past 18 months I have seen five to six of my ideas used by the company for serving clients. This has made me a more confident professional.
